Germany's new Admiral Christian Wulff kissed his wife Bettina Wulff afterwards acquirements that he had won the election. Wulff won the third and final annular of voting during the acclamation of the new German admiral by the Federal Assembly on June 30, 2010 in Berlin, Germany. The Federal Assembly, which is comprised of Bundestag parliamentarians and added civic delegates, chose a new admiral afterward the abrupt abandonment of German Admiral Horst Koehler at the end of May.

The two capital candidates were Christian Wulff and Joachim Gauck. Wulff was the official applicant of the cardinal German government coalition, the Christian Democrats (CDU) and Free Democrats (FDP). Joachim Gauck had the abetment of the German Social Democrats (SPD) and the German Greens party.
